Anti-snoring devices
Anti-Snoring Devices are removable, reversible, and suitable for treating mild to moderate sleep apnoea and snoring cases. These devices help open and support airways for patients. Worn on the teeth like an orthodontic appliance during sleep, anti-snoring devices prevent the soft tissue from collapsing on the airway and disrupting normal breathing patterns.
What brand of anti-snoring devices do you use and why?
We use and recommend Moses Appliances. All Moses appliances are designed for maximum airway dilation and patient comfort.
The benefits of their devices include:
- Maximum space for the tongue - optimal airway dilation is achieved when the tongue is forward and against the roof of the mouth. Moses appliances do not obstruct the palate or tongue.
- No anterior coverage - It is healthier to breathe through the nose during sleep. The Moses open anterior design with adequate tongue space to comfortably close the lips promotes nasal breathing. This is important to eliminate dry mouth.
- No restrictions to open mouth - Moses appliances have no mechanisms to lock the jaw. They open easily, you can drink and talk while wearing them, and your lips can comfortably close to prevent dry mouth and drooling.
